Gavin & Olivia met in Flagstaff, AZ where they both went to college at NAU. They met through mutual friends & roommates (over a game of beer pong)!

Gavin & Olivia quickly hit it off and spent lots of time hanging out with friends, going on day trips to sedona, snowboarding, attending Olivia's sorority events, and even were in a class together! They realized how lucky they were that their hometowns, SD & OC, were only an hour apart.

They enjoyed their time at NAU together and loved going to breweries, more snowboarding, and enjoying the four seasons of Flagstaff. In 2020 Olivia graduated college and later headed off to nursing school, while Gavin finished his senior year at NAU.

In 2021, Gavin graduated college and moved home to San Diego, while Olivia continued her nursing program in Phoenix, AZ. When Gavin visited Olivia, they spent time in Phoenix laying out by the pool, going to Suns' games, and trying new restaurants. When in SD or OC, they had lots of beach days, hanging with friends, and family.

In late 2021, Olivia graduated nursing school and moved home to OC. During this time, Gavin was working as an EMT and was prepping for paramedic school. They navigated another year of long distance while working, chasing their dreams, and trying to figure out their nexts steps in life. This year was filled with many changes, trying to prioritize each other while still focusing on school & work, being in different cities, and working opposite schedules. Even with all the craziness around them they always made it work and tried to plan fun things like Big Bear trips or going to a Kings vs Blackhawks game.

In 2023, Gavin started his paramedic program in San Diego. Olivia got a job offer in SD and decided to accept it and moved to SD. Gavin & Olivia were finally living in the same city for the first time since 2020! Yay!

2024 was a year filled with many exciting moments! Gavin graduated his paramedic program and started working in SD, Gavin & Olivia got their first place together in La Jolla, then they got engaged on October 6, 2024! Two weeks after getting engaged, Olivia found out she got her dream job as an ICU nurse at her hospital. 2024 was a year to remember!

Gavin and Olivia have spent 2025 doing lots of venue shopping, traveling, wedding planning, moving to a new house in La Jolla, and continuing to work in their new positions at their jobs. They are excited for their wedding festivities and for the next chapter of their lives to begin!
